District Coordinating Director
The District Coordinating Director (DCD) is the head of the administrative district and the chief advisor to the District Chief Executive (DCE) on all matters relating to the district assembly. The DCD is responsible for the day-to-day management of the district assembly's affairs.
The DCD ensures that all departments work together harmoniously to achieve the development goals of the district. The office plays a crucial role in policy formulation, implementation, and monitoring of government programs at the local level.
Maintaining accurate records of all assembly proceedings, decisions, and official documents. Ensuring proper archiving and retrieval of important files.
overseeing the recruitment, training, and development of staff. Managing performance appraisal systems and ensuring compliance with civil service regulations.
Preparing annual budgets, monitoring expenditure, and ensuring proper financial controls. Liaising with finance department on all financial matters.
Coordinating the preparation of district development plans and monitoring their implementation. Preparing periodic progress reports.
Liaising with central government agencies, development partners, and traditional authorities to mobilize resources and support for district development.
Working with security agencies to ensure peace and security in the district. Coordinating emergency response and disaster management activities.
